About Stacy
I’m working on stitching myself together: fixing up the holes, tears, and stains in the fabric of my self by finding bits and pieces to add onto my self-quilt.
I live with a husband, two cats, and a miniature poodle. Also three sewing machines, two sergers, a laundry room stacked with fabric, a guitar I can’t play, and no finished floors in my house. My job mostly makes me feel happy and fulfilled, my body mostly makes me miserable and filled with pain. Sometimes I have moments of severe social anxiety, including online. But I’m getting better.
My parents are hippies, my friends are [sci-fi-, steampunk-, gamer-, computer-, theatre-, comic book-, ...] geeks, and I’m a little of all that but can pass for mundane at work. Except for the giant stuffed unicorn in my office and the occasionally blue hair.
I like to make things, and listen to music, and read. I don’t much like TV or movies, I get bored and start reading or making. I play roleplaying games with my friends, and think about doing costuming at sci-fi conventions. I have an undergraduate degree in Mathematics with a minor in Theatre (Costume Design). Eclectic enough?
